In This Solitude

In This Solitude by Adrienne Danrich

Crawling my way

Back to the light

I see a gleam of

Its brilliance

Seeping around the edges

Of this Coffin

That has Resurrected

Itself around my entire

Being

Patiently I scratch

Away at the Base

Of the Murky

Pit

That hasn’t let go for

Week

Upon

Week

Going on a month

Now

Meditation chips

Away at

The Inky

Roots

Silencing

The Chaos

Breathing in and out

To find

Peace

Sanity slowly

Creeping back

To its

Vaulted Throne

To its

Rightful place
